Opportunity to support progress of SSC Marine Specialist Groups and SSC Marine Conservation Committee. These groups focus on assessing, planning and mobilizing action for marine species conservation around the world (together with communicating and networking).
Responsibilities include assisting responding so Specialist Group needs, coordinating among Specialist Groups, production of reports and workshop preparation, assisting in development of new marine Specialist Groups, supporting Marine Conservation Committee initiatives, enabling partnership development and delivery, facilitating communication, and aiding in behavioral change efforts.

MCC report for this past year delivered to the SSC Steering Committee on the 3 October. Authored by the MCC Chair, Amanda Vincent, it was very well received.
The IUCN SSC Seahorse, Pipefish and Stickleback Specialist Group (SPSSG) changed its name to the Seahorse, Pipefish and Seadragon Specialist Group.
